PMA Blending Plants

PMA blending plants are designed for rapid and economic dispersion of most polymers in asphalt.  This technology allows for the production of a 15% concentrate of EVA, EMA, SBS, SBR, Crumb Rubber, PE and waste polymers in one pass on most occasions.  Polymer technology- included in the price of the plant - allows for formulation with almost all asphalt's to local specifications.  This will supply complete turnkey systems including ripening tanks, asphalt storage and finished product storage tanks.

  • Screw feeding of polymer with variable speed drive
  • Jacketed asphalt pump with variable speed drive
  • Pumping for oil and additives
  • All pumps and valving
  • Heat traced and insulated hot lines
  • Level control on prewet tank
  • 200 lt. prewet tank with dual prop mixer
  • Polymer box loader
  • Control panel with all functions
  • Soft starts and motor disconnects
  • Mill sizes include 8, 20, 40 THP and lab size mills
  • Compact layout on a 6 ft. x 12 ft. skid with stairs and operator platform

Capacity of the plant is 20 metric tons per hour. In collaboration with a team of specialists, ITG just completed a set-up of a PMA installation in a major Chinese city. "This is just the first of many similar projects" reports ITG's Road Equipment Distribution Department.
