Patch holes the right way with
theFlameless FP5 Pothole Patcher
Put an end to potholes quickly, efficiently, and permanently with the FP5 Pothole Patcher. This advanced, self-contained unit gives your agency the most effective way to respond to pothole problems and end public complaints.
Pothole repairs made with hot mix that is not maintained at proper temperature produces repairs that are short-lived and often require repeated applications. "Throw and go: mixes are expensive and environmentally unfriendly. But the FP5 combines all the tools for doing the job properly in one total package with results that last for years.
The FP5 Outperforms the Competition
Only the FP5 has a unique, self-cleaning, air-assisted tack coat system that uses the same wand to blow out the pothole with compressed air and apply the tack coat. Because the system is powered by air, not a troublesome pump, the spray nozzle stays unclogged. Unlike competitors' models, there's no problem-plaqued, pump-driven tack coat system, and the emulsion is evenly sprayed into the pothole.
The FP5's air-driven system can return the tack coat material from the supply line to the storage tank, a process that also simultaneously cleans the wand, the line, and agitates the emulsion in the tank.
During the work day, hot mix is uniformly warmed and / or held to constant temperature by an electrical heat system that is thermostatically controlled and supplied by an on board AC generator. THere is no propane or heating oil used in the hopper heating system of this unit thus eliminating the need for maintaining a hot oil system and frequent refills of propane.
Leftover hot mix is never wasted in the FP5. Constant mix temperature can be maintained overnight or over the weekend with the same hopper electrical heat system supplied by an external power source through a furnished power cord. A crew can load hot mix late in the day (when lines at the plant are short) and be ready for quick starts the next morning - or when emergency repairs are needed. Unlike some competitors' models, the FP5's electric heating system has a ground-fault interrupter system for personnel safety.
